Chef Jose Andres & WCK Pass 2M meals in Puerto Rico

When Hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico, it hit so hard that the majority of infrastructure was destroyed, "80% of the agriculture industry and the entire power grid for the island," according to World Central Kitchen. "Over 3.5 million people are in need of food, water, shelter, and other necessities." As of September 28, 2017, news reports said that it could take as long as 6 months for power and clean water to be restored throughout the island.

Chef Jose Andres founded World Central Kitchen in 2010 after a devastating earthquake hit Haiti. Today his network of chefs bring hope, food and positive change to provide relief to thousands around the world, most recently to Puerto Rico.

In this pair, you can see in the before picture the team preparing to feed its 2 millionth meal in Puerto Rico - amazing! And in the after picture, you can see Chef Jose Andres with young girls receiving a warm, handmade meal from Chef Andres and his team.
