José Andrés is so much more than an “Outstanding Chef,” as awarded by the James Beard Foundation, in and of itself an incredible achievement. He is also a wildly successful restaurant and culinary innovator, an author, a popular television personality, and most notably an accomplished humanitarian particularly for his tireless work in Haiti and in Puerto Rico after Hurrican Maria. "In 2012, Andrés formed World Central Kitchen, a non-profit that provides smart solutions to hunger and poverty by using the power of food to empower communities and strengthen economies."
