I love a good IKEA hack, and this one to transform two spartan pine Ivar cabinets is a good one. In a brief one-minute video, the creative folks at IKEA show how they mixed charcoal and green paint to create a dark, foresty shade that really brings depth and drama to the basic IVAR cupboards ($70 ea). They used dark door pulls, but I could see brushed brass or even copper pulls going well with this stain.
